  • Click Here to schedule a free 15 minute phone or video consultation.

During this consultation, we will discuss the reasons that you are seeking therapy and you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.

If we determine that we are a good fit to work together, then we will set up a good day and time for your initial appointment. You will then be sent a link to our online portal where you can fill out all of the needed paper work.

  • During our first appointment, we will discuss the information that you provided in your intake paperwork. We will review our practice policies and give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you have about the therapy process.

During this initial appointment, we will begin to work together to determine your goals for therapy and develop a plan for you to reach those goals.

  • A regular therapy appointment lasts 50 minutes.

At any point during our work together you may request to have an extended appointment lasting up to 110 minutes.

  • The first few appointments are focused on getting to know you and determining what your goals are. Once your goals are set every other appointment will be based on achieving those goals.

The length and frequency of therapy are determined by what you want to accomplish. There is not a predetermined time frame for how long therapy lasts.

  • During the first 4-6 weeks of therapy I recommend scheduling weekly appointments in order to build trust and momentum toward reaching your goals.

After this initial phase, the frequency of appointments may be adjusted to biweekly or monthly depending on your needs.

  • Evening appointments are available Monday thru Wednesday.

    Weekend appointments are not available.

  • If you are not able to make your appointment and need to cancel or reschedule, you must give notification at least 24 hours before your appointment start time to avoid being charged for the full appointment.

If you would like to reschedule your session and it is more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time Click Here to submit a request to reschedule.

Due to confidentiality, the client is the only individual who can cancel/reschedule the appointment.

  • No, I do not accept insurance.

Here are some of the benefits of private pay therapy:

Get the Care You Actually Need Without a Diagnosis

With private pay, you can choose your therapist and get the care you need whether or not you have a diagnosable condition.

    Maintain Confidentiality of Your Records

Insurance companies requires a DSM diagnosis in order to cover therapy sessions. This diagnosis then becomes a part of your official medical record. These records include diagnosis, treatment plan, and session notes.

You Get as Many Sessions as You Need

Insurance limits the number of appointments that are covered.

    Receive Fully Focused Care

Private pay therapists usually have fewer clients than those who accept insurance. Having fewer clients and administrative tasks means they have more mental bandwidth to provide fully focused individualized care.

    Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
